How can I determine if an image POS file is valid?
The POS file text in preview will change to blue if the import is successful.

Why do my images lack POS information during reconstruction? How do I fix this?
Image POS data is required for aerial triangulation. Importing images without the corresponding POS data will disable this feature. In this case, import the POS data on the Edit > Image Position and Attitude page before processing.

Why do I get an error involving my camera lacking the focal length parameter during reconstruction? How do I fix this?
The camera focal length and other parameters are required for aerial triangulation. Importing images without the corresponding camera focal length will disable this feature. In this case, enter a correct camera focal length on the Edit > Camera Parameters page before processing.

What factors contribute to 2D and 3D reconstruction accuracy?
Reconstruction accuracy is linked to factors such as the camera distortion, image quality, altitude, front and side overlaps, GPS/RTK positioning accuracy, and the scene texture.

What formats are supported for dense point clouds and 3D models?
Dense point clouds: PNTS, LAS, XYZ
3D models: B3DM, OSGB, OBJ, PLY

Why are there holes in my model? Which types of scenes will have poor reconstruction results?
During image collection, some areas may not be photographed, or the shooting angle is not good. These will lead to poor effects or holes in models.
As for scenes, transparent or reflective surfaces (water/glass) and repetitively textured areas (white walls/sky) also often have poor reconstruction results.

For reconstruction, how big are the differences in quality between high, medium, and low (for a 3D model and its point clouds)?
High, medium, and low result in different resolutions for better modeling (higher being better). Think of high as full, medium as half, and low as a quarter.

How can I modify the POS accuracy of a file?
In the menu bar, choose Edit > Image Position and Attitude, and click POS Data Accuracy in the upper right corner to modify POS accuracy.

What formats are supported for POS importing and exporting?
Import: TXT, CSV
Export: CSV

What formats are supported for aerial triangulation export?
XML.

What image formats are supported for image import?
JPG.

Shall I proceed with installation when a warning about insecure software is displayed?
Yes. If you encounter any problems with security software during installation, be sure to allow the software to run without interruption. Refer to our Installation Guide for more details.

How long does the trial period last?
After registering with the software, you can get a trial period of 3 months.

How can I purchase Autel Mapper?
Register with Autel Mapper and log in to your account. Hover your mouse to the Trial button and it will change to Buy Now. Click this button and fill in the application information to complete purchase.
